Preparing a CV is still a major challenge for many and the BREAKTHROUGH Programme will help participants develop the content and presentation of CVs that will increase their chances of advancing to the interview stage of the recruitment process.
We’ll also look at the dangers of a “one size fits all” approach to CV development and we’ll give some guidelines on format, layout and presentation in the context of what employers expect and want to see.
The dangers and consequences of false claims will also be explained together with a potential employer’s take on candidates and their social media presence.
In the Interview planning session, the objective is to improve the participant’s understanding of how the interview process works, the respective roles of those involved, planning personal grooming and attire, getting “your head right” for the interview and clarifying exactly “why I want THIS job.”
